Add-on

Shrink the video where it lives.

Pick a clip in the file list, choose a profile, and the conversion runs as a background job you can pause, watch or cancel. The originals are only removed if you ask, and only after the new file verifies. Everything here is switched on by you rather than by us.

Three things you can do

On a normal Tuesday

01

Convert to AV1 with a profile.

Choose the profile, not the flags. The job goes on the board with progress, a rate and an ETA.

02

Delete the originals, but only after the copy checks out.

Off unless you turn it on, verified before anything goes, and what goes goes to the Trash.

03

See what a file actually is.

Duration, streams and codecs in the preview, without opening a player.

It needs FFmpeg. The add-on manages that for you rather than assuming it is on your PATH.

Which bundles include it

How you come by it

An add-on is not sold on its own — a bundle is, and holding the same add-on through two bundles is never charged twice. See the bundles.

In the app, off until you move the slider

A fresh install hides anything below the default bar on this add-on’s Minimum readiness slider in Settings › Features. These are in the app today.

Not built, and not charged for

Media is part of the app, not a separate program.

Download File Manager, then pick the bundle that grants it.
