What this site keeps

This site sets no cookies, and nothing is written to your browser's storage. That is why you have not been asked to dismiss a banner: there is nothing to consent to.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and does not follow anyone between sites. It records the page, the referring site, the country, and the browser and device family — never an address you could be identified by, and never a profile that outlives the visit.

We also count four things people click: a download button, a bundle card, a theme swatch, and the signup button below. Each is recorded as a page name such as /e/download/stable/windows, with no identifier attached to it. We do this to learn whether the price and the page work, which is the only reason there is any measurement here at all.

If the site is deployed without an analytics token — which is how it ships from our repository — no analytics script is loaded at all and nothing is counted.

What we store

Your email address, the stream you chose, the page you signed up from, and the moment you pressed the button. Nothing else — no name, no company, no tracking of what you open.

Why

To email you when there is a new build on the stream you asked for. That is the only use. We do not sell the list, rent it, or hand it to anyone for their own purposes.

You have to confirm

Signing up sends you one email with a link in it. Until you click that link you are not on the list, and if you never click it the address is discarded.

Leaving

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, one click, no questions. You can also email insiders@saascade.com and ask to be removed, or to be told what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.

How long

Until you unsubscribe. When you do, the address goes; we keep only the fact that an address asked not to be contacted again, so that we do not contact it again.

The list is stored by the SAAScade account service. At the time of writing that service is still being built, so the form on the site is a plain email link instead — which means the only record is the message you sent us, and the same terms above apply to it.

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure and installers are served from Azure storage. Both keep ordinary server logs — IP address, time, and what was requested — for a short period, as any web host does. We do not use them to build a picture of anyone.

Fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google's servers. We would rather it did not; replacing them with our own copies is on the list.
